With a £15 million bid rejected earlier Liverpool came with an improved offer of £20 million which was accepted on Wednesday evening, Stewart Downing is undergoing a medical at Merseyside to join Liverpool for a fee of £20 million. Downing has been a long term target for Liverpool manager Dalglish who confirmed that we are agreeing personal terms with Downing " It is a work in progress we will see what happens and keep u informed"
Liverpool have already signed Jordan Henderson from Sunderland and Charlie Adams from Blackpool this summer and Downing arrival will surely strengthen their squad.
